Luci'fer Luscious Violenoue
The band FICTION has 4 members: Luci'fer Luscious Violenoue on vocals, Gardie on Guitar, Sylvain on Keyboard, and Oscar Luscious Violenoue. Oscar? Who's Oscar? He is Lucifer-san's black cat.^_^ She even draws little comics featuring him on her Website. Now I'm just being silly, but she really DOES list him as being a member so I'm not crazy or anything. This is an EXCELLENT band. Lucifer (yes a Woman in the visual scene^_^) has a wonderful voice. Not high pitch and "cute" like all those jpop girls, her voice is rich and can hit both higher and lower notes. I love her deeper, huskier voice in particular. Fiction used to be "Gilles Love". They put out an album called "My Bloody Valentine" and a video, but afterward changed their name to "fiction". However, because Lucifer wanted to focus more on her solo works fiction has disbanded. She still works alot with Gardie though. She has also been working with machi (ex.Lareine). He was featured in a song of hers before, but now it seems he is more involved. But while they are very vague on what exactly it is that they are doing it is still exciting news to hear. Here is their official site together: Ainsi soit il. Lucifer Luscious Violenoue Gallery! The music of Fiction is vaguely similar in style to bands like Souixie and the Banshees and the cure. So if you like this kind of style I highly recommend checking out their album "Lucifer to iu na no o-ningyou". Even if you don't usually go for that style you should check them out. It's not very hard rock, but more of a mellow sound. Lots of synth. As I have mentioned previously, Lucifer has also done some solo work. There is a lot of spoken word on her early solo works, so some people might not like those particular cds. She is a "concept" artist so all her works revolve around different stories. She will even take on different roles in her songs or "drama" tracks, both male and female. Most of her early solo work (that has actual singing) sounds very similar to Fiction. However, "Do you Remember the Rose Garden of Haunted Realm" is quite a departure from her usual sound. For one thing, she uses a different vocal style, and for another, the music itself is very different. Not as sad sounding has her previous work...at least not to me. It has less of a gothic feel to it and its 'mood' contrasts extremely with her other two solo works. Her latest cd "hana no tetsugaku, tsuki no bigaku", however, seems to be a mix of the two styles. The mood is more similar to Rose Garden, yet there is still a gothic current running through the cd. It has a softer feel to it then Kusari tsunagareta tenshi....not so dark a feel to it, and a lighter tone. She switches from a higher pitch voice to a lower pitch depending on the song. Here are some samples of LLV's music: From Fiction's "Lucifer

All Eternity"
